The Next Grandma Moses, Perhaps?

gomemphis

The Commercial Appeal’s Bill Ellis writes in his article: “Given her emerging reputation in the mainstream art market, others may argue that N. J. Woods has the makings of a modern Grandma Moses.” Wow, I like the sound of that! You can read the rest of the article here.

A2H Private Concert

Folksy musicians Michael Hearne, Jed Zimmerman, Grace Askew and Keith Skyes performed Saturday night during a private concert at A2H. I think the backdrop for the performers is simply gorgeous! Check out the pictures and snippets of their perfomances.

To hear more Southwestern Americana fare from Michael Hearne, visit www.myspace.com/michaelhearne, or a blend of Bluegrass and Country from Jed Zimmerman visit www.myspace.com/zimmermanjed and if Alternative Country music is what you like visit  Grace Askew’s page at www.myspace.com/gaskew.

A2H Opening Reception

Thanks everyone for attending the Compositions opening reception at A2H. We appreciate the support. For those who couldn’t make it out, the show will hang until the end of March, so there is still lots of time to see the beautiful artwork on display and hopefully you’ll be inspired to purchase one or two pieces. I’ve attached a really short photo slideshow of the event, so you can get some idea of how the work looks.
